A Treo 650 that shines - literally.

If you'd like to own a Treo 650 that literally shines with over 2,000 Swarovski crystals, have a penchant for your neighbours north of the border and would at the same time like to contribute to the Autism Society then you should definitely take part in palmOne Canada's charity auction currently taking place online.
Billed as the 'Ultimate Canada Smartphone' (no doubt about that), this bejeweled Treo 650 was also customized to include a full dose of Canadian spirit with:
- Music by Arcade Fire, k-os, Oscar Peterson and Neil Young
- e-book "The Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Atwood
- Audio books "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel and "A History of Ice Hockey" by Greg Proops
- Ringtone "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams
- Mobile Air Hockey game
- Text to "O Canada"
- Canadian Donuts, an application that locates the nearest donut shop for road-weary warriors
Unfortunately there are always some jokers around (or a very thoughtful Canadian billionnaire - perhaps RIM's CEO has become enamoured with the Treo?
) who have now bidded this particular Treo up to $666,000,000CAD [Ooops... there were so many zeros that I didn't see that we were actually dealing with $666CAD billions and not millions...] which would undoubtedly make it the single most expensive phone in history if the winning bidder ever showed up...

The bidding's back down to a more reasonable (?) level now... $717.00 (cdn)
Just found this sight announcing a Verizon Treo 650. can this be true?

Sure, but if you are creating a release of that magnitude, why not include the right pitcure along with it. Don't you think they would have used a 650 vs. a 600 if it was legit?
My bad. I didn't realize that it was a dynamic image link on the page. I would love for it to be a reality, as I have been awaiting this one for quite some time now.
