Treonauts at DEMOfall 05 - Day 1
A bit at the last minute (my fault) late on Friday afternoon I was very kindly invited to attend the DEMOfall conference (many thanks Mike & Becky) which is taking place in Huntington Beach, California, starting today and ending on Wednesday 21.
DEMOfall, previously known as DEMOmobile, is one of the premier technology events and the DEMO conferences have been dedicated to the discovery of big trends and useful tools in enterprise and consumer technology – for example this is the event that launched Palm Computing and the Palm Pilot nearly 10 years ago and SixApart the company that develops the TypePad blogging solution that Treonauts uses will be presenting at this event.
Overall, at DEMOfall I’ll have the opportunity to meet over 70 debut technologies which have been selected for their ability to inspire the tech industry and change the ways in which people work and play – all of which I will naturally try to steer towards developing Treo specific solutions
as there are actually an incredibly high proportion of Treonauts in attendance – for example Walt Mossberg (a huge Treo fan) from the Wall Street Journal will be here.

The opening reception is in about one hour so in the meantime I’ll leave you with a view above from my room terrace – undoubtedly a welcome change from the cold and wet weather in London even though I’m unlikely to make much use of the pool or beach over the next couple of days with the super-packed DEMOfall schedule…
Treonauts are always looking for innovators… ![]()

All I can say is that it's amazing to me that the Palm was launched only 10 years ago. Look at the progress! And in that time I've gone from scorning Palm devices (why should I learn to write the way they want instead of vice versa??) to being on my third Palm device now (a Treo, of course). Think of what the next 10 or even 5 years will bring.
Whassup? You need to check out the Treo 700w over at Engadget!

Is there going to be a Treo 700p?
