Treo Case Mate Signature Series Hoster Combo Review
There’s always been things about hard leather form-fit Treo cases that I’ve simultaneously found to like and dislike. It wasn’t until I received the new Case-Mate Signature Holster Combo that I discovered one that I could actually see myself using on a daily basis – it is the best and most elegant model that I have reviewed to date.

As its name suggests, the Case-Mate Holster Combo (for Treo 680, 750 and 755p) consists of both a hard leather form-fitting shell (above left) and a convenient leather holster. The build quality is excellent and is handcrafted from a premium Italian Pebblestone leather (see below right). The fact that Case-Mate offer a Lifetime Warranty is also clearly a sign of commitment to quality.

After sliding your Treo into the case it fits comfortably and snuggly while also more importantly offering solid protection all around your smartphone thanks to some 2mm of padded thickness. At the same time access to all buttons, stylus, camera, speakerphone, HotSync connector and keyboard remain perfectly accessible. Having said this, you will need to remove the Treo from its case if you use the Palm Treo Cradle Kit.

The holster is equally solid and well built with a slim, strong multi-directional 360–degree ratcheting (24 positions) belt clip. Sliding your Treo in and out of the holster to answer calls is quick and easy while still being held firmly in place when not in use.

I also particularly like the fact that your Treo fits in the holster with the screen facing inwards (most other hard leather form-fit Treo cases have a belt clip at the back thus exposing the screen to bumps and scratches).
Overall I consider both the Case-Mate Signature Holster Combo and Case-Mate Signature Series (without holster) for Treo 680, 750 and 755p to be my top choices in this Treo case category.
The most popular alternative Treo cases (all voted “Editor’s Choice”) include:
– Helix Holster
– SPE P6 Pouch Case
– SPE UltraSlim Leather Holster

Will it accomodate the Treo 680 with extended battery? If not, is there a case that will? (They hybrid cases fall apart the minute they hit anything so I've given up on them.)
does the case get in the way of pressing the cornor keys on the keyboard? or is the case pushed back a tad away from keyboard like the seidio cases are?
karen - please see my post for extended battery fit Treo cases:

ToNe - as you point out this case has been expanded around the edges to allow for unencumbered access to the keyboard.
I hope this helps.
Cheers, A.
Thanks for the review. It's hard to see from the pictures, but I assume the sync and headset connectors on the bottom are still accessible. Could you please let me know if that is correct?
