Treo 650: PCMag Editor's Choice
PC Magazine today released its glowing rating and review of the Treo 650 placing it at the very top of its 'Combo Devices' chart with a 4.5/5 rating and also granting it the 'Editor's Choice'.
I have to admit that I was amused by some of the political correctness when he mentions that the Treo 650 "could use a little more RAM"...
The full review by Joel Santo Domingo is well balanced and informative while also going to some length to explain and then complain about the lack of additional memory. I believe that he conveys the overall sentiment extremely well by stating that the Treo 650 "falls just short of perfect".
I still have a hard time getting over the fact that it came so close and that someone somewhere just dropped the ball... The game's just getting started though so we'll have to wait and see how the next chapter plays.

Has anyone pointed out the fact that the first few Treos have grown in leaps and bounds, and the small growth from the Treo 600 to the 650 may be due to the fact that HANDSPRING was the company that pioneered the early models and PalmOne is the new parent company? If you can't innovate... buy them out!
