Treo 650 GSM UK & NZ 'Coming Soon'
Good news for UK Treonauts who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Treo 650. Lee, a detective Treonaut based in Newcastle, spotted a flyer at an Orange shop advertising the Treo 650 and he kindly scanned and emailed me a copy. You can see that as in the previous version Orange have 'branded' the Treo with their square logo on the top left.
At the same time, TreoCentral reports that palmOne New Zealand has begun advertising the forthcoming release of the Treo 650 on their website - priced at $1,299NZD or about $800.
You can't yet buy the Treo 650 in the UK or New Zealand (nor is it yet widely available in the US either...) but to see it advertised now should be a strong indication that the real thing is just around the corner.
Treonauts are growing all over the world...

Wanted to say that your comments expressing laughter about repetitive thumb injuries is no laughing matter. The problem is real. Tendonitis is a significant risk when using PDAs, cell-phones, etc. There are particular concerns for adolescents... many of them over-use text messaging.

Hey - I am an Aussie living in USA. I just wanted to advise that I also saw this week on the Australian Palm website that there is a GSM version available for $1199 AUD(approx US$887). Since this has come out, the 600 has dropped to the bargain price of $799 AUD(US$591), down from $999 AUD (US$739).
I hope it arrives here soon - I can't wait any longer !
Treo 650 laucnched yesterday here in NZ - apparently should be instores for sale by Monday!!
Looks the the Treo 650 is delayed a little more in the UK. I have had one on order from www.mobiles.co.uk since early March. They have now been told by Orange not to expect any deliveries before mid April.
Very frustrating, as when I contacted Orange Customer Service themselves they said that they had been expecting them in February.
It would appear that dealers have been told that units will be shipped mid-May.
