Saving Space with Docs to Go
Hello Treonauts! It's certainly been a while since I posted anything but I wanted to share a quick tip for Docs to Go. I actually received my 650 today and have been configuring it mainly with apps I was using on my 600, but upgraded to Docs to Go 7 since it was in the box.
If you installed everything included, you are probably feeling the pinch since Docs to Go wants over 3 MB for everything (apps, fonts and utils). Using a relatively hidden tool (Thanks Sandro!) called Dataviztech (direct PRC download), I was able to move everything to my SD card and recover the space. I don't use Docs to Go every day so swapping it over as needed really works well for me. You will definitely want to make sure you keep adequate storage free on your Treo in order to allow for the swap to main memory.
The other way to do this is to move or copy each file installed to your card manually, but this certainly simplifies the process. There are some other features as well, like moving things back as well as managing the databases created through usage. The focus is clearly on saving space.

Also, if you need PDF Support, charting, access to password-protected MS Office files as well as a spell checker then you may want to upgrade to the Documents To Go Premium Edition.Treonauts love to conserve their space!

I cant download the prc file, it gives me the following message,

Description : Host name received is not for this web site
I just downloaded it again from the link above... not sure what the issue is for you... sorry.
The DocsToGo Tool is nice, but if you're already using PowerRun, its probably better to have PowerRun move *all aspects* of Docs to the SD card. As I understand it, even using the DataViz provided tool, a few DocsToGo parts stay on local memory.
I just moved the Docs-to-go and got back about 4.5m.
Then I used zLauncher and got back another 500k.
Cool! COOL! Cool!
