Treo 650 Obsession

As you will undoubtedly all know by now, I absolutely love my Treo.  So much so in fact that I decided to go out and buy myself 6 more brand spanking new ones so that I can alternate each for every day of the week – I might paint them different colours to make it easier to tell one from the other.

I am also still trying to figure out how to get enough juice out of my USB port to charge them all at the same time.  I’ve also thought that perhaps a vertical pouch case would likely be the most appropriate type to carry them all around my waist and handle their 1.2kg combined weight.

Before you think that I’ve gone completely potty let me just now say that this is actually a picture of the Treo 650’s gathered at a recent German PUG meeting (Palm User Group) and that in reality I only have 3 Treo 650’s…   [Thanks Steffen]

A Treo gunbelt would be cool (or not ;-)!

When are the evdo powered treos coming to market, Samsung seemed to beat us to the punch wouldn't you say?

Wow, that's quite the lineup. Which one of them, if any, is guilty? I still just keep my Treo in my pocket. Maybe I'll evolve sometime soon, I dunno. You seriously have three Treos? Why? One for home, and one for work I'm assuming, but what about the third one?

As a longtime Treo owner, I'd say given the (low) build quality that having three Treos on hand is not that farfetched if you can afford it. I've gone through a bunch of them and I am rather careful in my handling of them. As these devices become a more critical part of daily life, it is not unreasonable for the consumer to expect a more rugged product. I cannot be alone in this expectation? I too look forward to an Ev-DO version of the Treo... it's about time they included wifi which is now a mature technology by anyone's definition. But is Palm Garnet robust enough for the task? Seems like Cobalt is dead in the water, and Palm Linux is at least a couple years away. It really makes me wonder if the idea of a Windows Mobile 5 Treo is such a farfetched idea after all. I'm not a MS fan but it looks like they are the only ones bringing an OS to market with the features I want. Does anyone have any reassurance for me that the Palm OS is anything but a dying platform?

Wow each one looks exactly the same, except a couple did re arrange their favorites button, but man.. Am I the only one that has "show next appointment" showing and 1 line of favorites? I can't stand that 2 line Favorites :)

Wow. Cool. I'd love to have more Treo meetups in San Francisco....
