Treonauts on the Treo 670
I’m resurrecting the survey below which initially ran back in March when the first pictures and news of the (then almost completely dismissed) Treo 670 came out. Naturally, since Friday we’re all taking these images a lot more seriously though…
At the time, most people (including me) thought that this was somewhat of a ‘backward’ design and possibly an early Treo 650 prototype. Additionally, the reaction to a Windows Mobile Treo was, let’s say, a little bit tepid…

We've known for a while that there is going to be a "family" of Treos. Perhaps this is the 650's "brother." For those who want Palm, go with the 650; for those who want Windows, go with the "670." No one has said this new one is going to necessarily replace anything.

Ok, BUT: What if I want WiFi, and a 1+ megapixel camera? I don't want to be forced into a new OS just to get the features I want. I want my Treo, which has *always* been a Palm OS device, to continue evolving as a Palm OS device.
What is this world coming to? If you had told me a year ago that:
* Apple would be switching to the Intel platform, AND, in the same year, releasing a multi-button mouse.
* Palm would be *considering* (we don't really know for sure yet) switching the Treo to a Windows Mobile OS.
* And, Omarosa would still be milking her 15 minutes of fame...
I'd have thought you were crazy.
Okay... I had a choice between an MS smart phone and a Palm powered one. Please don't stink up this design with MS... at least offer two versions so that there is still a good Palm powered phone out there.
I have a PPC and it is useless. I can do everything in a fraction of the time on my old Clie for heaven's sake.
Then again, if the Treo is switched completely to MS, I wonder what device will come out running PalmOS? :/
