Krusell Horizontic Platinum Treo Case Review

While the lower end of the market for Treo cases in our Treo Accessory Shop continues to be dominated by plastic or rubber versions with the excellent (my favourite) Seidio Shield Holster ($27.95) and the popular Speck ToughSkin ($34.95) these are not exactly cases to show off in the boardroom…  Unfortunately there have been remarkably few good and noteworthy luxury ‘executive’ cases that I really like at the top end of the market.

I was therefore more than pleasantly surprised when I received one of Krusell’s new Horizontic Platinum cases ($49.95).  First of all the packaging was impeccable with the case delicately wrapped around some silk paper and a ‘Genuine Leather’ tag attached to the case – the message throughout was quality.

Krusell's Horizontic Platinum Case (above) is a horizontal pouch case made of fine, shiny and ultra-smooth black leather outside and beige leather inside.  Your Treo can fit either with the screen facing outwards or inwards with the antenna at the top (below).  The strong and high-quality magnetic clasp holds the flap of the case firmly in place.  Inserting and removing your Treo may not be as quick as with a holster case but it is nonetheless fairly effortless – as others have mentioned the protruding antenna actually helps when you have one of these cases.

Overall the Horizontic Platinum oozes quality with an excellent build and perfect stitching as well as a very solid frame.  The back of the case (below) offers you the option of either a leather belt-loop or a super-thin Spring Clip attachment (I wish that other cases came with one as slim as this) which is extremely easy and comfortable to fit and more importantly holds firmly to your belt.

Conclusion
If you have been looking for a high-quality, executive-style, luxury leather pouch case either for yourself or as a gift then Krusell's Horizontic Platinum will definitely not disappoint as it delivers on all of these fronts elegantly and beautifully.
