Treo 700w Now Available To Buy
Finally, the Treo 700w is now available to buy directly from Palm (and shortly also from the Treonauts Smartphone & Accessories Shop) either with or without a new Verizon contract.
The Treo 700w is available for $399 with a 2 year contract and an unlimited data plan or $499 with a 1 year contract – both require an activation fee of $35. Additionally, existing Verizon Wireless customers can purchase the Treo 700w without a new agreement for $649.
There are two available categories of service plans. The first is a “PDA/Smartphone Voice & Data Choice Bundle” which combines both voice and unlimited data in one plan (starting at $79.99 for 450 minutes and $169.99 for 4,000 minutes). The second is “America’s Choice National Plans” which is primarily a voice plan (starting at $39.99 for 450 minutes and up to $199.99 for 6000 minutes) with an optional data package costing $24.99 for 10MB, $44.99 for unlimited data or Pay-As-You-Go data at the equivalent of $15 per megabyte.
There is no doubt that if you want to make the most of Verizon’s fast EVDO data network which the Treo 700w fully supports then a Voice & Data Bundle with included unlimited data will provide you with the best value.
Additionally, if you’re not currently a Verizon Wireless customer but would like to use the Treo 700w you can keep your existing phone number even if you switch. If you decide to transfer your number, Verizon will help you check your eligibility and make sure you meet all requirements once you've selected a mobile service plan.
In terms of Treo 700w accessories, as I’ve mentioned before many of the existing Treo 650 ones including cables, chargers and BT headsets will all work fine and you can view the full list of available accessories by selecting “Treo 700w” next to the “Select Your Treo” option on the top left corner of the Treonauts Shop.
Treonauts always have the best smartphone…

I'm sorry, but the 700w just doesn't compare to other products, i.e. xv6700, and the fact you pay more for it w/o wifi than the 6700 w/ wifi! I run an IT department and these 700w's have been a major pain in my butt. I have since moved all to Verizon's xv6700 and now I'm in PPC bliss! But really the product is solid just needs more RAM, that would most likely solve most problems that I and others have experienced; 32 is just not enough these days and especially on a Microsoft OS! Just my 2 cents.
