Treonauts are ALWAYS Winners...

Last week Engadget put up a contest offering a souped up Alienware PC for the best birthday cake someone could bake for their 2nd birthday.

Well, I am delighted to say that the ‘winning cake’ was made by a Treonaut named Kirk Sutherland who kindly emailed me to let me know of his terrific win.  Congratulations Kirk!

Kirk’s ‘Working Treo Cake’ was not only at full 1:6 scale but also one that was almost fully functioning as he built an operating 13” LCD display into it.  His videos of the cake in action are an absolute must see…  Talk about creativity!

Considering that Palm’s 10th anniversary is just around the corner on the 27th of March perhaps we should ask Kirk to bake another one for the occasion and we could then send a small piece to all Treonauts…

Treonauts always win

Considering recent reveals on CeBit (read: none of PalmOS, plenty of WM), shall we bet if 10th anniversary to be last for PalmOS?

PS: Yeah, I know the Access' linux thigie. Seen the same scenario with Amiga years back ;(

Man, that guy must be really bored. Anyhow, that cake is friggin' awesome. Kirk is my new hero:)

s.elements - I don't think that 'bored' describes what he's done quite as well as 'determined' and 'creative'... He did happen to win a PC worth $1,250 for his efforts as well...

Can't agree more with you on the cake front - it is absolutely awesome indeed.

Cheers, A.

Actually Andrew, I was talking about the guy who always leaves the weird comments.
