Thinking About Your Future? Try Astrology & Horoscope Pro
Like many Treonauts I have been keenly attracted by astrology and numerology for many years.
I am not particularly interested in daily horoscopes but do take the time to read Susan Miller’s excellent Astrology Zone forecasts on a monthly basis. I also strongly believe in ‘matchmaking by sign’ for both business and personal relationships as well as the power of numerology for such things as birth names.
Like all things in life, gaining a deeper understanding of astrology and numerology takes time and effort – the more you invest the faster you learn. I had done this so much myself at one point in my younger times that I could actually guess someone’s star sign within a maximum of three tries (always fun to do at parties) but I stopped building my ‘database’ of people and their unique traits which inevitably led me to lose a lot of that capacity.
I have however naturally remained curious about the Zodiac signs and for nearly two years I have been looking for a simple, complete and fun application for my Treo that would allow me to occasionally feed my astrological curiosity. I am glad to say that after this long search I finally came across Astrology & Horoscope Pro which I purchased barely a few hours after downloading the trial version – I found it to be absolutely terrific.
Astrology & Horoscope Pro contains four sections (screenshot on the right) including:
- Matchmaker by Sign
- Horoscope 2006
- Zodiac Signs
- Numerology
Each section opens to a detailed and complete overview which contain from four to ten screens of relevant information that I’ll cover more in depth below.
Matchmaker by Sign
The developer has this description: “The stars can provide much insight about ourselves, including how, when, and with whom we are most likely to fall in love. Of course, astrology is not destiny, so while the one you love may not be a "classic" match for you in astrological terms, that doesn't mean all is lost. By understanding the universal forces that attract you to your lover, you can learn how to make any relationship work, and better understand your own self in the process.”
If you’re curious to learn more about how you match with a current or prospective partner you simply need to choose your two signs to read three screens covering your Relationship, Sex and Life as well as one last Outcome summary screen.
Horoscopes 2006
What's in the stars for you in 2006 – from professional developments to romantic interludes to the general trends of your life? This is what this section will try to guide you through.
A simple click on your star sign’s icon and you get an overview of the four big L’s – Life, Love, Loot and Luck…
Zodiac Signs
For centuries people have turned to the heavens for answers and guidance in their lives…
This section covers everything you’ve ever wanted to know about your sign’s traits and other morsels of information such as your starstone and famous people born under the sign are laid out over 10 screens.
Numerology
“Numerology is a key to your inner self. All numbers based on your date of birth reflect influences and events related to the momentum of your life.”
This numerology section proved to be the most interesting for me as I had not previously been aware of the many facets that it can encompass. Areas such as ‘Life Path Number’ and ‘Pinnacle Cycles’ were completely new to me.
Conclusion
Astrology & Horoscope Pro is without a doubt the most complete, informative and fun application that I have found to date in this category – one that I may not need to use every day but which nonetheless provides me with just what I’m looking for in certain situations.
My wish list for a future version would include better 5Way navigation, saving of names and birthdays (perhaps linking to Contacts) as well as a wireless or HotSync update to provide daily horoscopes.
As it stands though, Astrology & Horoscope Pro is great and will undoubtedly prove to be a fun conversation starter and you get to show off your Treo in yet another unique scenario…
Treonauts are always among the stars…

Are you kidding? What a waste of money and how SAD to see this on a technology website.
Wow, this really put me off this site which I have been following for a good while... Not that you'll bother to read any critical info, but I'll post some links for you anyway:
http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/astrology.html
http://www.skepdic.com/astrolgy.html
It' difficult to take the advice from a person who obviously is not able to think critically and rationally. Sad. Sad. Sad. Please use a couple of hours to read up on some scientific information on astrology - you'll be a happier person afterwards ;-)
I have just lost all respect for you. You were one of the most logical people I have ever heard. I spose you belive in karma, luck and god too. I just cant believe this, no matter how awesome someone seems they always have serious flaw somewhere.
Sorry Andrew, but I have to agree with the others. I find it hard to believe that anyone believes or even gives any thought to astrology. I'm sure this is a great product for what it does, but what it does is the problem.
I have to agree with most of what is said above, I am very suprised to find this on the website. But it goes to show that astrology is not only void of science but also any spirituality if you can programme a computer to work it out.
But if it is something you are into and feel this is your way to 'evangalise' on the goodness of astrology then fair dues, I'd do the same for a good bible reading/reference software.
I was just reading this article and got angry. So I wanted to write a comment and realized that others already expressed the same. I agree with the other comments.
BUT: The whole purpose of andys articles is to increase the revenue with the treonauts shop. So far I had no problem with this. But if Andy starts promoting these BS products....I will consult other sites in the future!
Well, I guess that some people don't quite feel the same way about astrology as I do... which is fine...
Cheers, A.
Wait a minute, I seriously feel I have to defend Andrew here. What is all the negative commentary for? Are you afraid he's going to turn this blog into a new age experiment or something? Big deal, he's showcasing a TREO APPLICATION that he enjoys, and others might also. Do all Treonauts have to be of the same mindframe and think in the same way? Give him a break.
Tis always interesting when a community finds out something new about one of its leading members. However, regardless of how one feels about a particlar vein of content, the point is that Andrew has the right to post about whatsoever he chooses. We have a right to disagree, and not read that content, but to characterize the whole of his content on this one item is stretching it.
I can understand if you found this review on my website (http://mobileministrymagazine.com) as it would be out of character and a contradiction to THAT SITE's stand on things. However, that is not the case here.
This is mos def one of those "stone throw at who?" kind of incidents. And until any of us get a site with this kind of readership and responsiblity, we'd all be better to discuss any issues with Andrew on a personal note, rather than to show immaturity and misjudgemet by airing it out in the live arena.

There are plenty of legitimate apps and accessories to peddle. This is selling snake oil for profit. Its nice to see the community respond "politely" yet firmly.
Please skip the palmistry, phrenology, homeopathy, and dianetics apps in the future and focus on the thousands of other useful apps we would actually find useful. Cheers!
Father Dan, selling snake oil for profit? Where are you coming from?
If Andrew promoted a Bible reader application or something outwardly Christian-related for the Treo, would you feel that was inappropriate?
Or is anyone interested in the study of alternative spirituality simply destined to go to hell anyway? I'm not sure where you are coming from, but I have an idea.
Please do not lump things like homeopathy and dianetics together for one, then and equate them to some sort of peddling evil goods.
Please don't, you do not have the answers. I just do not appreciate the vitriolic comments. We should be open, considerate, and accepting as a community interested in the same subject: The Treo.
yo
I don't agree with what you said really....
please explain in detail a bit more for me :D
cheers
