RexRegina Luxury Pouch Treo Cases Review
As I mentioned in the post about my foofpod pouch, I am always looking for a simple and slim clip-less Treo case in our Treo Accessory Shop that I can use to protect my Treo against bumps and scratches when in a pocket, suit, jacket or bag. Until now only the fun fabric foofpod pouch fit the bill for me – it’s really one of my favourites because it’s quite different and breaks from the ‘boring’ mould of so many others.
However, I can understand that not everyone may like the idea of a fabric pouch and would prefer a more robust and elegant premium protective pouch in leather instead. This is exactly where the new range of RexRegina Harrison pouch cases with five Avant-Garde (above left), four Nouveau (center) and five Classic (right) models in a variety of leathers and colours can provide a perfect alternative.
The RexRegina Harrison range has been specifically designed for the Treo smartphone as a top-loading pouch case and is entirely crafted in fine Italian leather resulting in a very strong and sturdy full front and back padding for protection that is completely smooth without any clips.
The Classic range comes in plain smooth leather (above left) while both the Nouveau and Avant-Garde (targeted at women) range offer a soft pebble grain (center) and crocodile (right) leather patterns.
After looking at the entire range I ultimately opted to add the Nouveau’s Black Tie Croc model (pictured above right) to my personal collection. At the same time, I am also going to offer some of the Avant-Garde models as a gift to a few women Treonauts who I know have been struggling to find a suitable case for their purse…
My entire personal Treo case collection – which I use regularly for different occasions – now consists of:
Treonauts are always looking for the perfect fit…

Well don't you guys always tell us only women are such fashion addicts that they want nice things like this? Your own collection is quite impressive. ;)
Andrew,
I've enjoyed reading your Treo blogs since a friend turned me on to Treonauts about 8-months ago (when he got his 650). I've been clinging to my Kyo 7135 for the past 2-years, but only because I havn't had opportunity to cough-up $500 for a Treo. Until now, that is. And i'm actually glad that I couldn't get one before now, because I would have likely ended up with either a 600 or 650, instead of the phone I've got my sights set on now, the 700p.
What I'd like to know is if anybody out their is offering an SD WiFi card for the 700p. I've seen the ones (you did a write-up on) for the 700w, but I suspect those may not be compatable with the 700p.
The card wouldn't even be an issue for me if I were in a position to shell out the $80/mo (minimum) that Verizon wants for their basic voice/data plan (in order to utilize the EvDo). But seeing as how I'm not particularly rollin'-in-the-dough right now, nor am I a power user (needing constant/instant email & internet access) I find it simply ludicrous to be tossing that kind of dough out the window every month just on a cell phone bill - in addition to my wife's of course.
Well, enough of my rant. I should be picking up my phone in about a week or so and would much appreciate your help in locating an SD WiFi card for the 700p. Both universities at which I teach have WiFi throughout. So this would be a great asset to have.
Thanks,
Michael J.B.
Michael - unfortunately there isn't an SD WiFi solution for the Treo at present. This remains one of the most contentious issues regarding ALL PalmOS Treo smartphones. The mild good news is that Ed Colligan, Palm's CEO, recently at least publicly acknowledged the issue and confirmed that built-in or SD WiFi support would happen - he just didn't state when... Cheers, A.
Nicole - absolutely! I'm glad there's finally a Treo case out there that hits a cord with women...
Cheers, A.
These cases look great and they are nice and thin, but they don't solve the problem of how to use a hands-free. I took my Palm-provided case and cut a hole at the bottom corner so I could use a hands-free, but after a month the hands-free stopped working, I assume because the wire got bent each time I took the Treo out of the case. So now I use the case upside down, and the hole is where the antenna goes. It works, but it certainly isn't elegant. How about a nice thin case that allows a hands-free (or headphones)?
Fred
I think, these case look foolish and don't useable, as the treo will slide out.
Just as a general comment, thanks to all who make this site go. This is a great site for Treo users, and the store is great as well.
Conum - actually the Treo cannot slide out as the two sides hold it very firmly in place...
Thought - thanks! We're still working hard to improve things even more.
Cheers, A.
