Treonauts in London
Earlier today I suddenly thought about how infrequently I have posted pictures of any of London’s landmarks… To correct this oversight here is one taken with my Treo 650 as I walked past Piccadilly Circus with its famous electronic billboards and winged Eros statue (to the right) in today’s gorgeously sunny and warm weather.
After a number of extremely busy trips to Paris and a visit to Copenhagen I am heading back to the US tomorrow when I will finally be able to fully evaluate and review the new Treo 700p – particularly its EvDO high speed wireless data capabilities and related services such as Dial-Up Networking (DUN) which so many Treonauts have already voted as their ‘favourite feature’. In this respect it’s also worthwhile noting that an impressive 82% of new Treo 700p owners voted overwhelmingly positively about their experience and I obviously can’t wait to add my own two cents to the mix...
Treonauts always have the best smartphone experiences…

Be sure to keep us posted by photo as to where you'll be in the US. I didn't realize until you posted the photo from London how much I appreciated the personal touch to your worldwide blog. Keep up the fine reviews ... I'll looking forward to seeing a list of 'must have' accessories and software for the Treo 700p ... as well as a 'might want to have' list.
I've heard rumors that a Palm OS Slingmedia player is in the works ... any inside time frame for a beta?
EV-DO is awesome, especially with ChatterEmail, and Blazer! (We need to start a campaign to get Access or Palm to support Flash.) The Sprint 700p does consume much more power than my unlocked GSM 650. I hope the Seidio Extended Battery helps. My first Seidio battery was DOA. The Treonauts Shop has excellent customer service, and has already sent me a replacement.
This post is about CONFERENCE CALLING with the TREO...I have a 650 and get annoyed every time I get a call-waiting call because then I cannot make an outbound conference call even though the original caller hung up (which should leave a line open). Has this been fixed in the 700?
Hello - Excellent site.
Need the expert help that someone of your expertise (grovel!) can provide. We are desperate to see the new Treo 700w in the UK. Do you know of expected release date and will it have 3G?
Thanks
I would appreciate it if anyone can help me: I bought an unlocked Cingular Treo 650 on eBay and can use my Vodafone simcard for the phone, but cannot configure Blazer or Versamail. Vodafone can't help me--can anyone out there, please? I am longing to get e mail up and working but so far this has proved impossible. Thanks in advance. Nann
