Treo Case | Vaja Sterling Silver Case Review
Today Palm announced the availability of a new luxury Treo case with Vaja i-volution Sterling Silver case for the Treo 700p and Treo 700w. The case priced at $345.99 (without clip) and $349.99 (with clip) is the single most expensive one ever made for your Treo (the previous two being the Berge Genuine Crocodile Skin Pouch at $249.95 in our Treo Accessory Shop and the Swarovski encrusted Vaja i-volution Crystal Case at $299.99).
Leaving the price aside, like all other Vaja cases the Sterling Silver edition is entirely handcrafted using superb leather and also for this model finished by a jeweler who adds the sterling silver touches found on the sides and around the front and back speakers.
The Vaja i-volution Sterling Silver case is certainly a fine and unique luxury case whose price will guarantee exclusivity. However, where a few years ago with my Treo 600 I used to consider the Vaja to be one of the top cases available because of its overall build quality I have since found other cases (Shield Holster, foofpod, Milante Fit) which I personally consider to be superior, more practical and obviously not as expensive (albeit not as refined).
Additionally, I have already seen a sample of a forthcoming leather form-fit case that I hope will become available within two months which promises to deliver the same look and feel of the Vaja cases with the added benefit of an even slimmer form factor at a fraction of the price – I can’t wait for its release…
Having said all this and considering the fact that I own more than one case – each of which I use for different occasions and situations – perhaps I should add Vaja’s Sterling Silver case to my collection just so that I can flaunt the most expensive Treo case available… Then again I’m probably much too sensible for that…

I love/want the new "Silver"T7 Vaja case. If I get a good pay check soon I'll probably buy one for the 700p I'm planning to upgrade to from my beloved 650 very soon as well. However for the slight difference in look from the T65 case and actual amount of "silver" the case contains I'd be likely to be less reluctant to drop so much jack on a case and later have less buyers remorse if it cost @ $200(About $80-$100 more than the standard T65 case) rather than close to 3 x's the price(@ $350) What I like most is the border around the earpiece screen and the border around the speaker phone screen for the added durability they'll add.
My older Vaja T65 (same w/o "Silver") is getting wear in those areas + the side is getting loose(For all the use the case is still in good shape. Definately worth what I paid). This after almost a year of constant use/handling. I'd be stoked if they made a less expensive(@ $200?) version w/ polished or brushed Stainless Steel additions for durability purposes as much as aesthetics. One can only wish?
I have several Vaja pieces already, and think their quality and functionality are second to none for the way I use my 650,PSP,SD cards,and $$/ID,Credit Cards(I have a few SD card cases, one wallet style that holds 6 cards and 2 of the 4 card "push-push" cases, the PSP case("Leather Suit"model),and the US $ wallet(mv61"combined Aniline"model)cases all in Black. Obviously I'm a happy/returning Vaja customer. Also just an FYI, Vaja has really good customer sevice should problems arise
Please tell me that the price includes the Treo!

I share your passion for Treo Andrew (actually also for the Palm OS) but are we really sensible buyers? I mean, how much SD cards (worth how much) did you own again ;-) ? Then again you do own a lot of Treo's to put them in!

That is stupidly expensive. I mean that is just seriously dumb. I don't care if I had all the money in the world, I'd never pay for that bulky thing. That is insane.
careful ordering with vaja…the promised 1-2 weeks to receive my order was finally 6 and 1/2 weeks before I received my order. Slow to respond to email enquirys also…and the worst issue was I was told several times various stories that all were along the lines of “it will be done on Friday!”
