Special Offer: Motorola H700 Bluetooth Headset
I have reviewed the bestselling Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset on a number of occasions and therefore many Treonauts will already know that this is one of my top 3 favourite wireless headsets thanks to its excellent design, technology and performance.
As I pointed out with the recent release of the “Cosmic Blue” H700, this headset has been one of my top choices because of its solid and elegant build, small and extremely pocketable size, comfortable wear, USB charging capabilities, great sound and innovative ‘PowerFlip’ which automatically switches the headset off as you fold the speaker when not in use.
The good news is that the Treonauts Accessory Shop currently has a an A-Stock Motorola H700 on special offer priced at only $39.95 (a full 60% off MSRP). The only difference between this and the full price model is simply that the headset does not come in its original packaging. This offer is without a doubt one of the best deals in the shop at the moment but hurry if you’d like one as quantities are very limited.
Additionally, if you’d prefer to buy a more “exclusive” headset there is also the newly released special import Black H700 (pictured here on the left) which delivers exactly the same performance but with the added benefit of a unique color.
Finally, all H700 wireless headsets can conveniently be charged using a miniUSB cable (not included) which can be attached to one of the ports on your laptop for example. I can therefore also highly recommend the terrific new SPE ExtraPower 5in1 USB Tips Bundle that I reviewed last week to power your headset while on the go.

Andrew, the link to the A-Stock H700 doesn't go to the store, it goes to the "Cosmic Blue" review. Just thought you might want to know in case that wasn't your intention.
Thanks for clearing this up. When I got the Treonauts store e-mail the other day, I thought there was a mistake when I saw the price. Now I understand.
Bummer, just picked up an HS850 for about the same price at Costco on Sunday. Is it worth returning to grab this one? Are there significant differences b/w the HS850 and H700?
Lytspeed - thanks for letting me know. I have now updated the link...
Kevin - I personally prefer the H700 as the HS850 is _much_ larger and does not offer the same performance.
Cheers, A.
Does that mean the H700 does not come with anything to charge it with? Just the headset?
Cindie - the kit for this A-Stock H700 does include a wall charger but not the miniUSB cable.
Cheers, A.
Too bad your shipping fee is so high. $25 to Europe :-I
R.
When you say "A-stock", is this rev A of the H700 or Rev B (on the back of the headset)?
SYNXXXA or SYNXXXB? (XXXX are numbers, not sure if they're always the same)
Treo 680 users beware. I have the H700 and agree it's a great piece. The only flaw with the H700 itself is that during situations where there is loud ambient noise, the H700 cranks up the volume to the point of annoying distortion.
About the 680 + H700: The 680's ability to deal with the flip out boom is hopeless. When the boom is folded all other phones will treat the H700 as though it were off (not route calls to it)... not the 680! Calls go right to the headset even when the boom is in... very frustrating. Then, if you put the boom out to start talking you have to wait for a seemingly endless amount of time for the voice to become active and sometimes it never does.
Andrew, based on your raves I purchased the H700 but have static reception even while sitting right next to it. Have also tried it on my daughters Samsung A900 and it too had static. I asked for an exchange today so lets hope it turns out better.
BTW, it has a refurbished stamp on the flip-out boom...seems someone else had issues with this one.
"The only difference between this and the full price model is simply that the headset does not come in its original packaging."
I received my H700 today and it also says Refurb on teh boom. Nowhere in the product description or your blog entry does it say refurbished. This is very misleading and I will be calling for a return.
I just received my H700 I'm pairing it with the treo 700p, it works as advertised but my beef is with the mike boom feature, flipping it into the inside to shut it off requires for me to take it of my ear, would it not make more sense to have the boom flip away from my face for the off position? am I doing something wrong?
How well does this headset work with the 650? I have a cardo scala 500 and it's falling apart!
Like rdwiz, I bought the H700 based on Motorola's reputation, the reviews here and previous experience. But mine has problems. I have a lot of static and background noise regardless of proximity.
Anybody else having these problems? Any suggestons on how to improve it?
jeff
I just got the Treo 700 and the Motorola H700. I have nothing good to say about it (I take that back, it was very easy to setup). People can't hear me when I use it and if I'm not holding it up near my ear I get lots of static. Maybe I just got a bad device. I'll try trading it in for a new one later today.
I have a Blackberry 8830 from Verizon, does the H700 work with this cell phone?
Sounds like everyone got ripped off. You need to go to an actual store and buy one. There are too many fake bluetooth's online. You may pay a little more at a store, but they are not fake and easily exchanged if there is a problem. Don't be cheap!
Can anyone advise on why my H700 unexpectedly lowered the transmission volume to near zero? I can't find any blog entries on this or how to remedy it?
