Extended Battery Fit Treo Case Review
The 2400mAh Treo 680 Extended Battery and Treo 750 Extended Battery (a package which includes a battery cover to accomodate the larger battery size) from Seidio has proven to be so popular that naturally I’ve received a great many queries asking me to point out which bestselling Treo cases could fit the extended battery (pictured below).
Treo Holsters
After testing many, I really only found one Treo holster that I could say perfectly fits both the Treo 680 and Treo 750 with their respective extended batteries.
This is the Helix Holster pictured above which has the benefit to be one of the few “universal” holsters that fits all Treo models, has a rubberized coating to provide additional scratch protection and also comes with two removable belt clips – one rotating and one fixed. This is undoubtedly why over the past few months the Helix Holster has risen to become the #1 bestselling Treo holster.
Treo Side Pouches
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that all three bestselling Treo Side Pouches pictured below offered a very good fit for the extended battery as well.
The P6 Pouch Case (above top) proved to be my favourite for many reasons that I’ve outlined before such as its strong magnets, large belt clip, thin profile and in this case also the ease with which I could retrieve my Treo with the extended battery.
I also had no difficulties with the Palm Side Case (above left) but I personally dislike its much thicker profile. Finally, the sporty Body Glove Rythm (above right) was already a case that I liked very much and it proved very good at accomodating the extended battery as well.
Treo Top Pouches & Pocket Pouches
Two other of my favourite Treo cases also offered a great – albeit mildly tight – fit for the extended battery with the SPE UltraSlim Holster (below left) and SPE UltraSlim Pocket Pouch.
Treo Skin Cases
Finally, a recent addition to our Treo Accessories Store has been a skin case specifically designed to accomodate the extended battery.
Seido have now also released the Treo 680 Skin Case Extended Battery Fit and Treo 750 Skin Case Extended Battery Fit – both of which offer a well designed (albeit not ultraslim) skin to protect your Treo smartphone. Please note however that if you choose this skin you will unfortunately not be able to use any of the other cases above.
Separately, if you own one of these extended batteries or even just a standard battery I can highly recommend that you also get the new Palm Treo Battery Charger.
Treonauts are always the fittest…

has anyone found a holster that does not REALLY scratch your belt when putting it on or taking it off?
Question please: I have a Sprint Treo 700p....I bought a 4GB SanDisk card for it but for some reason everytime I try to either "format" it or load on information. it seems to freeze up the card...
Someone at Sprint told me that the Treo can only handle cards up to 2 GB...is this true? Then why do you keep expousing the larger cards for the Treo?
Thank you in advance
Is not the 680 and 750 the same case size?? I see where some of the adds say fits 680/750....
I have a 4Gig SD card in my Treo, never once have I had a problem with it, recognized immediately. It's a no-name brand.
Sprint Tech support are notorious for being wrong. I have been using my SD card on both the Treo 700w and wx models for almost a year now.
Sounds like a defective card.
Im looking for a holster for my Centro, That will accomidate the exstended battery. Help!
Does anyone know for sure if the "Treo 750 Skin Case Extended Battery Fit" also works with the new Treo 800w? I just bought the Innocell extended battery for the Treo 800w and I'm not aware of a case that works with it yet.
Any thoughts?
