Helix Treo Holster: Top Marks

Best Treo HolsterReaching the status of “Top 10 Bestselling Treo Accessory” is not an easy achievement but this is nonetheless what the Helix Treo Holster has managed to do in the past few months (also becoming the overall #2 bestselling Treo case in the process just behind the P6 Pouch Case).

Helix Treo Holster

For starters, one of the main benefits of the Helix Holster is that it offers a “universal fit” that accomodates all Treo smartphone models including the Treo 680 and Treo 755p.  It is also extremely light and has a very thin but robust profile which makes it ideal to carry your Treo.

Helix Treo Holster Clips

The Helix Holster provides you with the choice of two rotating belt clips (pictured above) – one long and slim spring clip and another shorter clip – to fit your particular needs.  I personally prefer the long clip which is far easier to fix or remove from my belt.

Like all good models in this category, the Helix Holster fits the Treo with its screen facing inwards so as to protect it against the occasional bumps while leaving the smooth back surface of your Treo exposed and ready to answer a call.

The latch wraps nicely around the top right corner of your Treo with enough pressure to hold it securely in place while still making it easy and quick to remove when needed.  The bottom holders of the holster also provide full access to the Treo connectors – for example to listen to music with a corded headset such as my preferred Seidio 2in1 Earbuds.

Helix Treo Holster Rubberized Coating

Importantly, it is worthwhile noting that the entire surface of the Helix Holster is coated in soft-touch rubberized paint (detail above) to ensure that your Treo does not get scratched during regular daily use – it also happens to feel really good in your hands.

Helix Treo Holster Belt

As always, one of the main benefits of using a Treo holster is the fact that you can quickly and easily have access to your smartphone with a single hand – in this respect a holster probably remains the best type of case to rapidly answer a call from your hip.

Overall it’s easy to understand why the Helix Treo Holster has become so popular – it offers a strong and secure fit, provides added scratch protection thanks to its rubberized coating, includes two belt clips and has an elegant thin profile.

I notice you have an Invisible Shield on your Treo. Does that impact the fit at all of this holster?

One issue I see is having the camera part so visible. Many places do not allow pictures to be taken and thus do not want camera phones on site.

Do the 2 clips lock in set positions, or are they free rotating (which I hate!)?

I have a replacement treo coming (at my cost) because the holster I have which is very similar to this let the phone go in the grocery store... one ex touch screen and a $225 touch to repair the damage. I recommend you look for something more secure.

My son, two coworkers, and I have had these since January and love them. No problems at all. None of us have had the Treo pop out or had the holster come off the belt. I have used cell phone holsters for years and these are very durable in comparison. Of course you want to have a spare as all holsters do eventually break. Those that report problems with these must be running into things with them, or are getting bad ones.

BUT the clip continues to scratch the heck out of all my belts. Has anyone found a workaround???

Man, those treos are looking so prehistoric these days. Anyone lusting after an iPhone.

Can this holster work with a large extended battery attached to the back?

Ken - yes, both the Helix Holster and P6 Pouch Case will work with your extended battery.

I hope this helps.

Cheers, A.

Will this Helix holster hold the Treo 680 snugly, with a skin?

Where can I buy the clips only? I destroyed my clip getting into the car, but don't need the whole unit.

I just bought this clip for my Treo 650, however every time the phone rings and I look at it to see the caller the phone answers the call. I think the option key gets pressed when I take the phone out. Is there anyway to avoid this, I have disabled touch screen during a call and hasn't seemed to fix the issue.

My Helix holster cracked at the bottom on the cross piece... is there a warranty on this type of cracking?

This is the best holster I have found for my 700p. I used two others before I found this. The holster provided by my wireless company was horrible. HORRIBLE. Broke a phone when it fell out of the holster. The second one was just as bad. Helix knows what they are doing.

I cannot get the larger clip attached. What is the trick?

How do I get replacement clips for my Helix holster for the Palm 700P. I have broken several and have not found the replacement clips. Can you help?

Good Luck finding the clips only. I like this holster alot but the large clip snapped. I am using the other one but do not like it as much. I called Phoenix direct and they WILL NOT provide any customer service. They just advise to contact who you bought it from. They of course just sell the whole units they are order houses and dont have any desire to help with parts. If you do find a way to get just the clips please advise. Otherwise as good a holster as you'll find. The one Verizon sells holding the phone with the tiny plastic blip is totally useless.
