Pink Centro Coming Soon?
Recently named one of the Top 10 Gadgets of 2007 by Time magazine, the Palm Centro continues to win more and more converts even though this tiny but powerful smartphone is currently still only available with Sprint (AT&T and Verizon models are expected in early 2008).
Evidently, supported by great reviews and an unbeatable $99 price tag the Centro has been too good an offer for many to pass and I reckon that it will do even better once a GSM version becomes available in both the US and Europe.
The Red Centro in particular has already proven so popular with women that it looks like Sprint and Palm are now readying the release of a Pink Centro (pictured above) which may become available as early as next Monday, January 6th for order by phone and January 13th in Sprint Stores.
This will give us something interesting to look forward to next week/year... In the meantime, wishing you all a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year!!!

does anyone know when the centro will arrive on the verizon network?
Sometime mid-January on (someone might start a pool, though if the 755's Verizon launch is any indication, do it by months instead of weeks! LOL)...
I'd like to know 1) when we're going to see a GSM Centro (or Treo 685 or whatever they decide to call it); 2) what color choices will be available, especially in unlocked GSM, and 3) when more charging accessories will be available from Palm--specifically a cradle designed to charge the Centro battery, with the prongs in the middle, and an equivalent portable out-of-phone charger (see link).

I've used both a 650 and 680 (both unlocked GSM) and had 2 batteries for each, charging the out-of-Treo battery in the cradle.
Oh, and a stylus that isn't a plastic twig.
Palm is struggling with its financial position and product releases, its longtime rival Research in Motion (RIM) is doing extremely well.So may this model improves Palm position.
According to Sprint, it will be available Jan. 13th by phone or net.
My wife just picked one of these up from a Sprint store near Cupertino yesterday. It's every bit cute & sparkly as it appears in the photo above. The fit of the phone / home button flaps seemed a bit too bulgy and not flush, but otherwise seems great
