AT&T Centro - First Image!

I think that it’s only a matter of weeks now before Palm and AT&T officially announce the release of their highly anticipated Centro – a GSM version that according to the leaked image below may become available in a very cool Arctic White.

AT&T Centro

Considering that the Sprint Centro is available in Ruby (Red) and Onyx (Black) (also a rumoured Pink) it’s very likely that AT&T will offer both this Arctic White Centro as well as at least one other dark color (probably a shade of Blue) when it is released in February.  I can’t wait…

How exciting! I can't wait to buy one. It will be a perfect interim smartphone.

I have always been a fan of white cell phones, but rarely ever see any. I was glad to see Palm come out with a white 680.....I bought one immediately! The Centro looks even better in white than the 680. Considering how popular the Centro has been with Sprint.....this white one on ATT is sure to be a big seller.

I'd kinda like to see Verizon get one, too. At Verizon's usual rate of adoption, though, that might be what... 2009?

*sigh* It always seems like such a wait. Actually, I did a little quick research and found that Palm and Verizon launched the Verizon variant of the 755p about seven months after Palm and Sprint launched the Sprint variant of the 755p. So if the Sprint variant of the Centro was released back in October and there is a similar time gap then I'd expect to see a Verizon variant of the Centro around May.

I'll use it with my iPhone for when I need to do something that the iPhone doesn't do...like send mms or save a picture off of a web page.

i am trying to find out how to send group texts out from my palm. i love the phone, but even when i put contact in categories, i still cant click on the the group/distrubution and send messages without click on the contact one by one. Is there a thrid party program that allows that.

Any idea when we can expect an unlocked GSM Centro? Any indication of what colors (apart, obviously, from white)?

dmm - I expect that an Unlocked GSM Centro will be released simultaneously or shortly after AT&T's models come on the market. White and Dark Blue would be my best bet for colours.

Cheers, A.

To the person who asked about distribution lists. You can make them in the phone application, where it has a launcher type application that stores speed dial numbers.
