Seidio 2200mAh Treo 755p Extended Battery

Although Treo 680 owners are still stuck with a maximum standard sized extended battery capaciy of 1600mAh, Treo 755p owners for their part can now benefit from significantly higher talk and standby times thanks to the recent release of the Seidio 2200mAh Treo 755p Extended Battery.

This new 2200mAh extended battery replaces the previous 2100mAh battery (see Treo 755p Battery Roundup) and provides some 37.5% more power than the original Palm 1600mAh battery that ships with the Treo 755p while retaining exactly the same OEM size and therefore not requiring a larger battery door.

Having said this, Seidio’s Treo 755p battery ships with an extra cover anyways (available in Green, Blue and Burgundy on the right) just in case your original one may be just a little bit too tight.

The Treo 755p extended battery sold out within days of release but it is expected to be back in stock by the end of this week at the latest.

Separately, I’m also still waiting to see the release of both a spare and extended Centro battery as neither Palm nor Seidio have unfortunately yet made one available.  Although it offers pretty decent talk and standby times the Centro’s standard 1150mAh battery remains the smallest capacity of any Palm smartphone and I’m naturally keen to see if a +1400mAh extended model might be released.
