Mobi Centro Battery Cradle Review
Now that a spare Centro battery has finally become available it makes sense to look for a battery charger and the new Mobi Products Battery Cradle for Centro is (for now at least) the best value accessory to do this – particularly as neither the existing Palm Cradle Kit nor Treo Battery Charger can accomodate the new Centro battery design.
The Centro Battery Cradle offers a simple rectangular base that allows you to charge both your Centro battery and smartphone simultaneously as well as to HotSync your device with your PC via the built-in USB cable.
Your Centro charges at the front of the cradle while your battery is inserted at the back (see above) via a small tray and two small lights indicate when it is fully charged.
The only small drawback with the Centro Battery Cradle is that the USB cable only provides power to charge your smartphone while the included wall charger powers your battery. Having said this, if like me you would like to power both your Centro and battery from a wall outlet there is a simple solution which consists of getting a separate USB Wall Adapter and plugging the USB cable into it.
Centronauts are always plugged in…

How easy is it to insert/remove the Centro from the cradle? I recently bought another cradle for the Centro (link below) and the connection was so tight that I had to pick it up and use both hands both when inserting and removing the phone. It felt like I was going to break the Centro connector, so I returned it.

Also, I don't see a hotsync button. Do you have to activate hotsync from the phone screen?
Thanks.
Mark: In regards to 2nd question, it doesn't have a hotsync button on the cradle, so you have to use the phone's one.
