Palm Pre Box Ready To Go
Images of Box & Documents For Sprint Palm Pre Leaked
Thanks to a Chinese website we get to see the first images of the box for the forthcoming Sprint Palm Pre – presumably leaked from/by the packaging manufacturer. The box in the pictures is completely empty but we get a few interesting tidbits nonetheless.
Aside from the Palm Pre smartphone, the box includes:
- Standard Battery
- AC Phone Charger
- Stereo Headset
- Micro USB Sync Cable
- Carry Pouch
We also get to see that there will be out-of-the-box Windows XP and Vista support as well as MacOS X Leopard v10.5. The Palm Pre will also be E911 capable (but not all emergency service providers are capable of receiving 911 location information) and is rated M4 for hearing aids (highest rating).
Additionally, the included Getting Started card (above) outlines why you need to create a “Palm Profile” for your Pre:
“A Palm Profile allows you to access services such as automatic updates, security backups of all your data and much more.”
Even more interesting is the answer to how you can transfer data to and from your Palm Pre smartphone:
“… [a link on your Pre] will take you to a website where you will be be able to transfer data to your smartphone from select PC applications such as Palm Desktop and Outlook. This transfer is how you can get all your old Palm smartphone to your new Palm Pre.”
Now if only someone at Palm could grab this box, put the Pre and its accessories and then ship it to me that would really be swell…

Preonauts are always ready to be unboxed…
