Sprint Store (Employees?) Get Their Hands On Palm Pre
Clearly the two people in these images (faces have been altered/hidden to protect their identities) have managed to get their hands on a Palm Pre and they claim to have done so in the back room of a Sprint Store…
Aside from the massive fit of jealousy that I’m experiencing, it’s clear that I’m rather excited to see that some Sprint Stores are already getting Palm Pre smartphones in their inventory. The lingering question now is: does this mean that a launch is imminent?
According to some rumours floating around, it’s possible that Sprint and Palm will make a “big announcement” in the Wall Street Journal this coming Tuesday, May 19th – this will likely be an official announcement of the Palm Pre release date as well as pricing and further specifications.
For now at least, most bets are still on an actual launch date taking place Sunday, June 7th – a short three weeks away…

@Charles That promo page has been out there for awhile. That is not a page showing any stock, which is the crux of Andrew's post today.
Dear Palm,
Please give Andrew here a Palm Pre to review before the launch. All of us fanboys here know that he deserves one and you would probably get a better ROI on this than letting howard stern have his way with you.
Seriously, Andrew drinks Palm kook-aid for morning, breakfast, and dinner so why not throw him a bone?

Palm, if you're listening, you need to give Andrew a test unit of the Pre. The rest of us will at least be able to relish in his reviews and usage. It's what all of us Treonaut readers need... to at least keep us going for the next 3 weeks til we can get our hands on one ourselves.
I just hope that Sprint has enough in stock to meet demand. Would hate to go into the sprint store to only be told that they are sold out and you have to wait another two weeks for them to get them in.

Jumping the gun a little early? No way are they going to sell out. If this phone were offered on Verizon or AT&T, then maybe.
@Blake Sprint sold out on the Palm Treo 800w in some locations when it was first released, so I can easily see them selling out of the Palm Pre. Perhaps your statement comes from jealousy that you're not on Sprint and so you miss the Pre party this round?
